The children were ‘put through their paces’ during the adapted activities of netball, mini basketball, unihoc, football and tag rugby. The weather was kind so both the Year 3 pupils and the new junior sports leaders from Uffculme School could enjoy leading and being led through progressive fundamental skills essential to becoming more effective players in these team sports. Each activity lasted for 30 minutes and finished with an end zone game; promoting the concept of invading the opposition’s space and target, whether it’s a basket, hoop, try line or goal.
