UFFCULME CLUSTER - YEAR 3/4/5/6 CVSA CROSS COUNTRY MEETING UFFCULME CLUSTER - YEAR 3/4/5/6 CVSA CROSS COUNTRY MEETING

Uffculme School was the venue for the first CVSA cross country meeting in which all primary schools in the Uffculme and Cullompton clusters were invited to attend.

3 dates in total are planned; the second is provisionally booked to be held in Cullompton; and the final meeting is confirmed for Killerton in the Summer term. The runners ran extremely well in testing conditions where the ground was extremely soft. The format saw a relay race for Years 3 & 4 boys, then Year 3 and 4 girls, with a distance of just over half a mile for each leg. The Year 5 & 6 boys and Year 5 & 6 girls then ran in the traditional format over a distance of three-quarters of a mile. Results: Year 3 & 4 boys - 1st Uffculme Primary School Year 3 & 4 girls – 1st Kentisbeare Primary School Year 5 & 6 boys – 1st Tom Busbrey (Plymtree) Year 5 & 6 girls – 1st Naomi Cottrell (Kentisbeare).
