Teams from feeder primaries took part in a coaching session followed by a round robin tournament introducing them to the skills involved and the rules of the game. The Year 5 and 6 pupils returned five weeks later for another session, aimed at improving their new skills through a tournament. Although most of the pupils hadn’t experienced volleyball before, the quality of the matches was testament to the hard work put in by Sidmouth College Year 11 leaders, who were inspirational in their coaching and umpiring throughout the two days.
