Activemark, Sportsmark and Partnership Mark awards 2008
Congratulations to all Primary and secondary schools in The East Devon School Sport Partnership, who were confirmed and awarded Activemark and Sportsmark respectively by the Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF) in January. 58 of our 61 Partnership Primary schools were rewarded with the Activemark award and 5 out of our 8 Secondary schools received the Sportsmark award in recognition of their ability to meet the 2 hour PSA target for 90% of their pupils. The data was taken from the 2007-2008 PESSCL Survey. Recipients of the award are notified in January and should be in receipt of their award letter and certificates direct from DCSF during the first half of the Spring term.
The East Devon School Sport Partnership were also awarded the Sports Partnership Mark award for meeting the criteria that : at least 90% of pupils across the partnership were accessing at least 2 hours high quality PE and school sport each week.
A list of schools in receipt of the award can be viewed in the members download section of our website: www.eastdevonsport.com
